Sederma & UEBT

Contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and make its supply more ethical and transparent.

For the second year in a row Sederma is proud to renew its membership as a member of the UEBT (Union for Ethical BioTrade).

This international organisation promotes an ethical sourcing of natural ingredients. The UEBT establishes good practices to be followed in our activity while respecting biodiversity and the people who contribute to the development of the active ingredients we offer.

By becoming a member of the UEBT in 2020, Sederma is committed to the ethical sourcing in natural ingredients.

We have started to call on UEBT to carry out verifications on our supply chains such as Mirabilis Jalapa used in Pacifeel® which has achieved the level of compliance “responsibly sourced”. For other supply chains Sedema has set up action plans to help its partners improve their practices. Three of Sederma’s employees have been trained to the UEBT standard to learn more about the requirements and to evaluate the supply chains more easily.

Through UEBT membership, Sederma is pursuing its ambition to be a recognised responsible player in cosmetics with greater transparency and traceability. This is in line with its CSR strategy “Be ACTIVEly Committed” and more broadly with the Croda Group’s vision “Smart science to improve lives™” thus contributing to Croda’s commitment to be Climate, Land and People Positive by 2030.
